Recognition of help from organisations and individuals
A lot of people have been very generous with their help over the years and we would like to thank each and every one of them and although they are too numerous to mention in total we'd particularly like to thank:
Our Patrons: Lord Barry Jones, Mark Tami MP, David Hanson MP, Ruth Behrend, Judith Turner, Mona Williams MBE, John Gray FLVC, Janey Ryder AM, Sandy Mewies AM.
The Salvation Army who came to the rescue when we were looking for a new office. We now have a small but pleaseant and adequate office in the Salvation Army hall in Shotton.
The Morgan Foundation who have awarded us a grant to fund an Administrator for 3 years starting in January 2008. They have said that they recognise the gap in provision for ME sufferers and were impressed by the success of our group in raising the profile of the issue and establishing clinics in the area. Our heartfelt thanks to them.
Catherine Pugh who has joined us in 2007 as our Administrator. Now that funding for her position is secure she will be able to work towards our next goal of finding our details of an Outreach Nurse and then applying for funding for that, as well as helping with daily administration and newsletters.
The Windmill Restaurant in Buckley who have kindly been letting us hold our quarterly committee meetings there for many years now. After the quarterly meetings we have lunch (some of us just come for the lunch), the food is always good and nothing is too much trouble for them, for which we are always grateful.
Chris Butterworth M.A.A.T. ; B.Sc(Hons) of North Wales Accounting, Colwyn Bay who has kindly been overseeing and auditing our accounts.
We would also like to thank Amanda Brown M.C.S.P.; S.R.P.; B,A,(Hons), Chartered and State Registered Physiotherapist for her article on How Not To Exercise.
Flintshire Voluntary Service Council for all their help in particular John Gray who helped us to achieve charity status, Barrie Potter, June Brady. Also Helen and the other staff at the Shotton Resource Centre (CRISP CENTRE on Shotton High St., Shotton) where we used to have an office.
