What We Do

Fundamentally our support group aims to ease the suffering of our members as per our core mission . Therefore our most important role is to supply friendship, assistance and information via meetings and newsletters. We also have the following aims:

Short term aim

Additionally, our short term aim at present is to fundraise for Janet's continued salary through grant development. Janet works in the Shotton CRISP office, helping with the administration, the production of the newsletters. She hasn't been with us for long but we are already really pleased that we have her working with us.

Longer term aim

Our longer term ambition is to fundraise for a Clinical Outreach Nurse who can visit those of us who are too unwell to leave home. There is a terrific need for this as there is very little help at present for the most severely affected people simply because they are not well enough to make trips to clinics and hospitals and yet they are the people most in need of help.

We will be making applications to different bodies and trusts over the coming year.
