Brighton & Hove Federation of Disabled People

Local community organisations came together 25 years ago, to establish a body that would help promote independence with dignity for disabled people making sure that when services were being planned and developed within the City, local disabled people views were heard. It is this ethos, which the Brighton & Hove Federation represents today.

We are an umbrella organisation with 35 member organisations. Our Management Committee is made up of volunteer representatives from member organisations who are all from disability related groups working with disabled people in Brighton & Hove.

The Colchester MESH Group was formed in 1990 and we are a registered charity serving sufferers (family & friends) from mainly Colchester and the surrounding area of North East Essex. Membership is free, and currently we have about 200 members.

The Leeds and District M.E. Group is for people who suffer from M.E. (a form of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/CFS), their carers, relatives, friends and anyone with an interest in M.E. We also try to help people who believe they may have M.E., but do not have a diagnosis, to receive informed medical advice.We cover the Leeds and Wakefield districts (all LS and WF postcodes).
